Who We Are?

KARAT Technical Services, began operations as a small service company, repairing many types of commercial food equipment within the Toronto and surrounding market area. Over the years our business model has expanded to include equipment rebuilding, preventive maintenance programs, and installation of small to large scale restaurant kitchens. We now also provide ordering/distribution of parts and warranty support for several major manufacturers.

All of our Technicians and teams are licensed, trained and highly qualified. Our teams are licensed in:

  • Mechanical Expert since 1987 (Certified in Canada 2006)
  • Electrical Expert from 1990(Certified in Canada 2006)
  • Fuel Gas Expert from 1997 (Certified in Canada Certified Technician from 1999), and
  • Refrigeration from 2000 (Certified in Canada 2018)

Our employees have an average tenure of Over 10 years, making them an incredible resource of product and industry knowledge (GMP Food Safety Audits – Good Manufacturing Practices). Our people are highly specialized and experts with food equipment (Commercial and Industrial), refrigeration, heating, cooling, electrical and mechanical work, from installation through training, and after-sales, service and support.

Installation and repairs are annually services as per customer request and we provide prevention services whilst following the Government of Ontario’s regulations as per the TSSA Safety Standard. We provide environmentally friendly services and our employees are highly-trained employees that work in our establishment and we provide our services and complete all tasks in a timely fashion.
